WCR-TEST: Wyoming Cloud Radar Test

Summary

As part of the preparations for the SPICULE project eight flight hours were approved to test the Wyoming Cloud Radar (WCR) ahead of the deployment.  These flights, hereinafter referred to as WCR-Test, were conducted from the RAF home base in Broomfield, Colorado, and are an important milestone in the SPICULE project since the WCR has undergone upgrades and changes since the last time it was flown on the C-130, in 2011.
