VORTEX-94 10-second CLASS Soundings
Summary
The Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment (VORTEX) 10-second Class Soundings dataset contains the high resolution sounding data collected by NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL) and National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Fixed and Mobile CLASS systems in the VORTEX project domain. The dataset contains one sounding level every 10 seconds. These data have been extensively quality- controlled, with every sounding subjected to both computerized consistency checks and human visual review. This dataset includes pressure, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and altitude.
