SSEC SPARC HSRL Aerosol Backscatter, Optical Depth, and other Optical Properties
Summary
This dataset contains the SSEC Portable Atmospheric Research Center (SPARC) High Spectral Resolution Lidar (HSRL) Aerosol Backscatter, Optical Depth, and other Optical Properties data from the Chequamegon Heterogeneous Ecosystem Energy-balance Study Enabled by a High-density Extensive Array of Detectors (CHEESEHEAD) field project. The SSEC SPARC was deployed at the WLEF-TV tall tower site for the duration of CHEESEHEAD. Among the instruments deployed aboard SPARC was a HSRL from which absolutely-calibrated high temporal resolution profiles of aerosol and molecular backscatter can be obtained. Included in this dataset are derived quantities from the HSRL capturing aerosol, molecular, and total, backscatter, optical depth, and other optical properties. For more information regarding the instrument description and data processing, please see the readme file.
