NOAA/GML SURFRAD Spectral Albedo, NDVI, ISS Site

Project:

Summary

This dataset contains spectral shortwave albedo, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) collected at the NCAR EOL ISS site for the Chequamegon Heterogeneous Ecosystem Energy-balance Study Enabled by a High-density Extensive Array of Detectors (CHEESEHEAD) Field Project. See file README.cheese.albedo for more information.

Spectral albedo is obtained with a Multifilter Rotating Shadowband Radiometer (MFRSR) operating in standard fashion, and a MFRSR head mounted on a tower (MFR10) at ~9 m above the surface for most sites. Spectral albedo values are calculated from instantaneous measurements taken every 20 seconds.
